There are 28 bones, 112
ligaments, and approximately 20 muscles all acting in
coordination to propel us in our everyday activities. It's no
wonder that most people experience foot problems at some point
during their lives. Foot problems are so common that many people
do not seek medical treatment. Foot pain is not normal.
Sometimes it is as simple as a corn or callus. Sometimes a more
serious condition will require surgery. Whatever the foot
ailment, there is no better professional to seek advice from
than a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.
WHAT IS A PODIATRIST?
A podiatrist is a surgically trained foot and ankle
specialist. Post-graduate education consists of a 4 year
podiatric medical school, followed by a 1-3 year residency. All
of our doctor's have completed the written and oral testing
requirements mandated by the American Board of Podiatric
Surgery.
